The Final Grade Formula
The formula is the sum of each score times its weight, divided by the total weight. For example, if homework is worth 20 percent and you scored 90, the midterm is worth 30 percent and you scored 80, and the final is worth 50 percent and you scored 85, your final grade is (90 times 20 plus 80 times 30 plus 85 times 50) divided by 100, which equals 84.5 percent.
